In May 17 , 2008 CBS formally announced the cancellation of Moonlight at the end of the first season.
Despite of all the effort , nobody listened to us , and today we’re still here , waiting for a miracle. Moonlight is one of the series with the most loyal fanbases in the world.
For a full year Moonlight has been part of our lives in many different ways , and finds us united in solidarity. A year ago they closed a door to us , and today we honor our cast , by opening others , lending a hand to all who need it.
It is a part of this tribute , of all the fans of Moonlight , and all those who were and are a part of this wonderful story. It’s a part by saying that we are still here with our hearts in Moonlight and supporting them in their new projects.
The fans of Moonlight en Español , invite you to participate in a International donation campaign designated to two major institutions : The International Federation of Red Cross and the Red Crescent , and secondly to Donate Life or Donate Vida.

When you donate
The donations are provided to start on May 1 , 2009 as a part of the commemoration of the aniversary cancelation of Moonlight in the USA. The closure of the donations will continue until May 31 , 2009

The donations will occur on the 1st of May, 2009, as one of the XXXXXXof the anniversary of Moonlight’s cancelation in the United States. Nevertheless donations can be extended to 05/31/09
How to donate
1. Donations with a credit card
To make your donation click on the following link to enter the web page of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and follow the instructions there. The instructions are in several languages, including English.

Very important: Write “Moonlight” in the space provided for “Company name” (this is a necessary requirement for the Federation to be able to track the origin of the donations and certify them).
When you complete the stops indicated by the Federation, you will receive an automatic Electronic message to verify that your donation has been received. Please re-send this message to moonlightredcross@gmail.com , so all the fans can follow, almost simultaneously, the partial totals of the funds as they are added up.
The Federation will ultimately certify the grand total and will send a unique certificate to us, once the final donation amount is computed.
2. Donations without a credit card
If for any reason whatsoever you can not make the donation with a credit card, you can donate at the local Red Cross chapter in your country. The link to the information about how to donate in your country is also on the Federation page indicated above.
Make your donation as your local Red Cross chapter requires, and make sure you get the proper certificate.

Who receives the donations when they are made to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
The donations are made directly to the Federation for its several programs around the world. When you make a donation through its web page you can choose to which program you want your donation to go.
